Ingredients of Chilli Chicken Recipe

600 g boneless chicken (cut and cleaned at home)

2 tbsp homemade corn flour (ground dried corn)

2 tbsp all-purpose flour (homemade from wheat)

1 large egg

1 medium onion, sliced

1 medium bell pepper (capsicum), sliced

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1-inch piece fresh ginger, finely chopped

2–3 fresh green chilies, slit

3 tbsp homemade vegetable oil or ghee

1 tsp homemade soy sauce substitute (fermented soybean paste diluted with water)

1 tbsp homemade chili sauce (ground fresh red chilies, vinegar, and salt)

½ tsp black pepper powder

Salt to taste

1 tsp fresh lemon juice

¼ cup water


Detailed Preparation Guide of Chilli Chicken Recipe

Step 1: Prepare Chicken Batter

In a bowl, mix chicken pieces with corn flour, all-purpose flour, egg, salt, and black pepper.

Add a little water to form a thick coating.
