Who is Aftab Shivdasani (Biography / Personal Details)
Aftab Shivdasani is one of Bollywood’s rare actors whose career began before he was old enough to understand fame and has continued into his fifth decade.
Born on June 25, 1978, in Mumbai, he became a familiar face as a child performer before establishing himself as a leading man.
He entered the entertainment industry through advertising and was famously selected as the Farex baby at only 14 months old.
His childhood film credits include Mr. India, Shahenshah, ChaalBaaz, Awwal Number, C.I.D. and Insaniyat.
In 1999, Ram Gopal Varma’s Mast transformed him from a former child star into an adult leading actor.
His performance opposite Urmila Matondkar earned him the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut and a Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
He subsequently demonstrated considerable range through films such as Kasoor, Awara Paagal Deewana, Hungama, Masti and Aloo Chaat.
Although comedy became an important part of his public image, he has repeatedly attempted darker and more dramatic roles.
His career has also expanded beyond Hindi cinema into Tamil and Kannada films and digital entertainment.
As of October 2026, Shivdasani remains active in mainstream cinema, most recently appearing in Welcome to the Jungle after Mastiii 4.
Aftab Shivdasani Height, Appearance, Fitness & How to Get a Body Like Aftab Shivdasani
Aftab Shivdasani is commonly listed at around 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall.
IMDb gives his height as 5 feet 10¼ inches, or approximately 1.78 metres, although this should be treated as a reported measurement rather than an official certification.
He has maintained a lean, athletic appearance that has changed naturally across different stages of his acting career.
His dark hair, dark eyes and youthful facial features contributed strongly to the romantic leading-man image he developed in the early 2000s.
Some celebrity-profile sites publish weight figures around 75 to 80 kilograms, but these figures are not officially confirmed.
There is no reliable public record establishing his current body-fat percentage or precise body measurements.
Shivdasani has not published a sufficiently detailed training and nutrition programme that can responsibly be presented as his personal fitness routine.
People seeking a comparable athletic appearance can focus on resistance training, cardiovascular exercise, mobility work and a balanced diet.
Maintaining adequate protein intake, hydration, sleep and consistent training is more useful than copying an unverified celebrity diet.
The healthiest goal is to build a strong, sustainable physique suited to individual genetics and lifestyle rather than attempting to reproduce an actor’s exact appearance.

Aftab Shivdasani was born and raised in Mumbai in a family with a Sindhi Hindu father and a Parsi mother.
His father, Prem Shivdasani, and mother, Putli Shivdasani, supported his early involvement in advertising and entertainment.
His sister is Afsana Shivdasani, giving him a close family connection outside the film industry.
His extraordinary entry into show business began when he was selected for a Farex baby-food advertisement at just 14 months old.
The advertising work eventually led to film opportunities while he was still a child.
He made his screen debut in Mr. India in 1987 and quickly followed it with several prominent child roles.
Despite becoming famous unusually young, he continued his formal education rather than immediately making acting his only pursuit.
He attended St. Xavier’s High School in Fort, Mumbai, before graduating from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics.
His transition from child actor to adult performer therefore came after years of schooling and hundreds of commercial appearances.
The unusual combination of early fame, education and long exposure to professional filmmaking shaped the disciplined career path he later described as largely driven by opportunities rather than a fixed master plan.

Their daughter Nevaeh arrived in 2020 and became the centre of their family life.

Aftab Shivdasani Career Journey, Breakthroughs, Achievements & Awards
Aftab Shivdasani’s career is unusual because his first major screen appearances came decades before his adult breakthrough.
After years as a child actor, he returned as a leading man in Ram Gopal Varma’s Mast in 1999.
Mast gave him a successful transition into adult cinema and earned him both the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut and the Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer.
Kasoor in 2001 demonstrated that he could move away from conventional romantic roles and portray a darker character.
His performance in Kasoor earned him the Zee Cine Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role and a Filmfare nomination in the same category.
Awara Paagal Deewana, Hungama and Masti then established him as a dependable performer in commercial comedy and ensemble films.
Masti became particularly important because its success created a franchise association that returned with Grand Masti and later Mastiii 4.
He also won the Bollywood Movie Award for Best Comic Actor for Masti in 2005.
His career subsequently expanded into production through Rising Sun Entertainment and into regional cinema with Bhaskar Oru Rascal and Kotigobba 3.
His longevity ultimately comes from repeatedly moving between romance, comedy, negative roles, television and regional cinema rather than remaining confined to one screen identity.
Current Life Highlights of Aftab Shivdasani (Career / Other Work)
Aftab Shivdasani entered 2026 with his career firmly active after a prominent return to theatrical comedy.
His 2025 film Mastiii 4 reunited him with Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi in the fourth instalment of the Masti franchise.

He explained that he had continued working while waiting for projects that genuinely interested him.
His next major release was Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan and released in 2026.
The ensemble comedy placed him alongside Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff and a large supporting cast.
He plays Abdullah in the film, marking his participation in another established Bollywood comedy franchise.

Aftab Shivdasani Most Popular Movies, TV Shows, Media Appearances & Other Work

Shahenshah and ChaalBaaz followed during his childhood years and further established his familiarity to Hindi-film audiences.
Mast became his defining adult breakthrough in 1999 through a romantic role opposite Urmila Matondkar.
Kasoor then showed a darker side of his acting and became an important performance in his early adult career.

Aftab Shivdasani Most Popular News, Controversies, Career Debates / Why Aftab Shivdasani Is Popular
Aftab Shivdasani’s popularity has survived several career phases because audiences first knew him as a child star and later watched him reinvent himself as an adult actor.
One recurring career debate has been his struggle to move beyond the youthful “chocolate boy” image created by films such as Mast and Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai.
Shivdasani himself has said that he wanted opportunities that could demonstrate his serious and darker acting abilities.
In 2025, he publicly addressed old rumours alleging drug use and an attitude problem on film sets.
He described the drug allegation as one of the strangest rumours he had heard about himself and said he had chosen not to repeatedly defend himself against it.
The allegations should therefore be understood as rumours he denied rather than established findings against him.
He has also discussed Bollywood’s camps, favouritism and industry politics, saying that he deliberately remained outside rigid professional groupings.
His long absence from prominent mainstream releases led some observers to describe Mastiii 4 as a comeback, although Shivdasani rejected that characterization.
He argued that he had never actually left the industry and had continued waiting for projects worth accepting.
His enduring appeal ultimately comes from the rare combination of childhood recognition, romantic-star nostalgia, comic roles, darker performances and more than three decades of screen experience.
